Content Management Systems (CMS)

The purpose of this assignment was too start creating our website by adding the customers logo and copyright information. This way we have the foundation to finish creating the site for our fictitious customer.

Website

• Why did you choose that particular platform? The main reason I choose this platform is that I use it for PTO. So I know even though it can be difficult to work with, there are short cuts to change things around. For example you can take a website and then turn the main page into a blog and still keep other pages.
• Have you used it before? If so, what was your experience? I kind of answered this in the first question, I use it often for PTO.
• Why did you choose that particular template/theme? I choose this one because I wanted simple and clean. You should not have to search around to find anything.
• What features will you leverage to meet the business needs of your fictitious client? Even though I picked a template I still have the option to do editing. I can add and take away features that are not working for me.
• Have you used any CMS that you would NOT recommend? Why? I have used Wix before, and while I loved it links expire. I like to use my school work where possible in the day to day world.

Reel Deal Tacos

Organic, friendly and ocean inspired food all at your fingertips from Reel Deal Tacos. Owned and operated by Brenda and Robert Thomas who took their passion for locally sourced food and opened a food truck that serves some of the freshest fish tacos around. You can find them rolling around town 7 days a week near San Diego State University, UC San Diego, Hotel Del Cornado, Downtown Gaslamp District, San Diego Zoo and multiple special events. Come enjoy some fresh seafood from two people who took have a love for the sea.

Proposal Presentation

The purpose of this assignment was to create a proposal for creating a website for our fictitious client "Reel Deal Tacos". The purpose f this proposal is to let our client know how we are going to make their website and how we are going to  incorporate details about the company and pictures of the food.

The purpose of this assignment was to give us a chance to review our client, and then review what we would consider as competitors and how their sites looked. I chose three competitors from the San Diego, CA area to review.

DVA: RISE Peer Feedback

First off let me say what an inspirational young woman,

standing up for a cause that some may fear standing up for. A suggest I would
have for your video is to flip the ending with the beginning, have the speaking
in the beginning and then have the rest of the videos with the music playing
over then at the end. That may even help to get your video to the minute mark
for the final submit. The videos were good and shot perfectly and the voice
over was good other than some jumping in the videos. That tends to be the
difficult part when trying to combine multiple speaking videos into one it is
easy to see where a person may have been in one shot compared to the next. It
may help to have the scripted practiced so that part of the video can be shot
as one. Overall though I enjoyed the video and learning about Amina and her passion
for human rights and women’s rights.
